Meet Karen
Karen Redmond received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and a Masters Degree of Science in Health and Fitness Promotion from Marymount University. She has been working in the health and fitness field for over 30 years.
She is a Master CHEK Practitioner and Holistic Health and Lifestyle Coach. She completed her Soma Therapy Training and is ELDOA Certified with Guy Voyer. Karen was owner of North Shore Smart Bodies for 23 years before opening Coastal Health and Fitness in North Carolina. She specializes in osteopathic therapy, injury rehabilitation, corrective exercise, holistic lifestyle and nutrition coaching and athletic training, seeing a wide range of clients including those with orthopedic injuries, back pain and athletes.
Karen uses her Soma Therapy training to treat clients and then develops a customized program with myofascial stretching, ELDOAS, stability and strength training.
She currently work in Wilmington, NC, Charlotte and travels back to the Chicago area several times a year. Karen also works remotely.
Karen is a competitive stand up paddle board athlete who enjoys being outside as much as possible!
